  • Our client is a fast-growing UK subsidiary of an international AI and data-led company. They are currently in the process of building their UK team. Their Telco solutions enable operators and investors to build, operate and manage their fibre networks optimally, whilst simultaneously enhancing customer experience. As the Business Development Director, you will be responsible for driving business growth in the UK market. You will have a good understanding of the FTTx sector, the role of fibre in 5G, a working knowledge of the mobile telecommunications industry, and industry contacts to help you build new relationships and grow existing ones.

    Your key responsibilities will be to develop and implement sales strategies, identify new business opportunities, build strong relationships with potential customers, including emerging telcos, meet or surpass sales goals and objectives, and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, developments, and best practices. You will work collaboratively with other departments in the company to deliver high-quality solutions to our customers and attend industry events and conferences to represent the company. Equally, you will provide regular feedback to the management team on market developments, opportunities, and threats and keep track of customer feedback, working closely with the customer service team to ensure customer satisfaction.

    The successful candidate will possess a number of years experience in sales, to the telecoms sector. You will be a consultative seller with the ability to understand client problems and then work together with them to discover the applications required to deliver business value. Additionally, you will be confident, articulate, with strong communication and presentation skills, proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, ideally, an existing network into the UK telecoms industry, a passion for technology and AI, and a strong analytical and data-driven approach to sales.
