  • Pimento is the UK’s leading and largest independent agency network, incorporating over 150 member agencies and consultants, who collectively employ around 3,000 marketing professionals and cover over 100 different disciplines. They work together in the network to support each other, promote each other and collaborate on client projects by referring work or by coming together as one team.
    Founded in 2005, Pimento was the world’s first and therefore original virtual marketing agency. To our clients (brand owners), we are still a virtual marketing agency, able to meet any brief or demand by drawing on the skills and expertise we have within the network to create bespoke teams.
    To our members we are a members’ organisation that enables growth, provides referrals, encourages collaboration, educates, entertains and supports with a range of professional services.
    About the Role
    Your primary role will be to get to know, manage and support existing members of the Pimento network (around 150 marketing agencies and consultants, of which you will manage around 80 directly) to ensure that they make the best of their membership to in turn secure the renewal of their annual membership.
    Key Responsibilities:

    • Help to onboard new members.
    • Day-to-day close contact with members to support them, get to know their business and look for new business and referral opportunities.
    • Keeping partner plans up-to-date (a list of those agencies they wish to work with).
    • Manage referrals between members (keeping a track of connections, opportunities, pitches and project work).
    • Work with the Managing Director to set referrals and renewals targets, and report on those monthly.
    • Monitoring and reporting on the engagement of members.
    • Manage the content with members on the Pimento Portal – onboarding new members, supporting existing members to use the portal, keeping content up-to-date, publishing blogs.
    • Managing our CRM by making sure member contact details and notes are up-to-date.
    • Help to promote members and connect with members through social and email communications.
    • Support marketing with the arranging of 6pm Club events (member events).
    • Networking with members at the 6pm and Conference events (approx. 1 a month).
    • Planning and attending other occasional smaller networking events such as Netwalking or possible round table events.
    • Encouraging members to attend events including our annual Conference along with our various social clubs.
    • Looking out for opportunities for sister companies of Pimento – Future Work (recruitment), Pimento Fuse (new business for agencies) and Now Next Why (Agency Growth Advisory).

    About you
    Ideally you will have a higher education qualification in Marketing or Business and account management experience, plus:

    • A proven record of managing clients and retaining business at a marketing agency.
    • Be confident in presenting and networking.
    • Have a brilliant telephone/zoom manner.
    • You will be working remotely, mostly from home, so will need to be self-motivated, pro-active and have excellent communication skills.
    • Able to work at pace, prioritise workloads and maintain accuracy at all times.
    • Excellent working practise of using Microsoft Office (excel, word, PowerPoint, outlook), including the ability to design and prepare (working with design templates) presentations.
    • Excellent written English, and able to create email and social content.
    • Have a good level of understanding of social posting in LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
    • Some experience of using a CRM platform for managing contacts.
    • You’ll have the ability to learn quickly any new systems or tech platforms we use or implement. We will provide training.
    • Be numerate and entrepreneurial.

    Salary will be dependent on experience but will include a good base which can added to significantly by securing and retaining members.
